WIS3553 – Introduction to Conservation Genetics

Spring term annually

This course provides an introduction to basic population genetic principles and the application of molecular genetics to wildlife. This includes topics related to managing captive populations, studying managed wild populations (e.g. fisheries, game species), and how we determine species boundaries and distinct populations. This course is designed for wildlife majors.

New class for fall 2016 – Fisheries genetics
